Grief, Art & the Gift of Now

Two weeks ago, I lost one of my dearest friends. This weekend, I finally slowed down and allowed myself to feel it all. Kara and I were both artists who never fully lived our art—until now. Just as I’ve created a space for artistic expression, she is gone. But is she? Or is she my gift from beyond?

As I reworked my studio, life gave me a green light to create. A rainy Sunday, a cozy fire, and the first prototype of my Pathfinder workshop—using Neurographic art to move through grief.

Each dot, a memory. Each color, an emotion. The final piece? A work of healing. Inspired by Kara.

And on the other side of grief? Clarity.

I found an old oracle card my son made years ago. It reads:
"Yesterday is history. Tomorrow is a mystery. Today is a GIFT—that’s why it’s called the present."

Here’s to letting go of yesterday & tomorrow… and truly living the gift of NOW. 💛
