The Country Storehouse began with a question:
What happens when we design a life around what matters most?
Then, what happens when we give it enough time, attention and care to actually become something?
An idea.
A creative impulse.
A piece of land.
A relationship.
A community.
A way of living.
We believe ALL of this matters to a complete and sacred life.
We believe meaningful things deserve proper cultivation.
And this Manifesto is where we begin that cultivation…
Here, take this with you…
This isn't a rulebook.
It isn't a business plan.
And it isn't something you need to agree with word for word.
It's a declaration of what we're choosing to practice here.
A slower relationship with ideas.
A deeper relationship with creativity.
A renewed relationship with land, community and one another.
A willingness to notice what matters, and cultivate it consciously and deliberately.
Read it slowly.
Take it outside.
Write in the margins.
Circle something that jumps out at you.
Disagree with something and ask Why?
Let a sentence follow you around for a while.
Notice what piques your interest, then see what it asks of you.
“What would you like to cultivate?”
You don't have to know yet.
Just pay attention.
Notice what returns again and again.
That's it.
We start cultivating there.
One where creativity is treated as something sacred.
Where silence gives us enough room to hear ourselves think.
Where nature can still be medicine.
Where an idea has value before the world validates it.
Where meaningful work contributes to something beyond ourselves.
Where communities are cultivated through conversation, contribution and showing up for one another.
And where the things worth carrying forward are intentionally preserved.
We're interested in something very simple: cultivating what matters, and preserving a way of life worth living.

The Manifesto isn't the destination…
It's an invitation into the practice of creative cultivation.
Each week, we'll bring one idea, observation or question into the Country Storehouse through a Broadcast Signal.
We call that idea the Seed.
Then we carry it into The Field and spend the week tending it through stories, creativity, conversation, nature, community and lived experience.
We don't always know what the Seed will become.
That's part of the practice.
We pay attention.
We cultivate.
We see what there is to harvest.
And sometimes the Harvest becomes the next Seed that regenerates into the next cultivation cycle.
There's quite a bit being cultivated around here.
Some days we're in the Studio making something with our hands.
Some days we're practicing the “art” of quiet contemplation and listening within.
Sometimes we're heading into the mountains, onto the river, or down a road we haven't traveled before to see what life experiences unfold.
Ultimately, we're experimenting with Field Books for cultivating what matters.
We're gathering people around creativity, conversation, meals and community projects.
And every week, another Signal enters the Field for our Country Storehouse community.
You don't have to understand all of it today, but meander long enough around our digital “home,” you’ll start to get a feel for what we’re about.
