Meet your hostess, Vidette…

It all began as an idea to change myself, that became a life purpose, that is now transforming into a living dream called the Country Storehouse…

I’m Vidette Wakenda—formally known as Vidette Vanderweide Mayer. After a lifetime of running from my given name, I’ve embraced it. "Vidette" derives from “vedette,” meaning “star” in French, and “Wakenda” honors a Native American Sun god. Representing the Sun and Stars in this world hasn’t been easy, but after a life-altering night in 2008, I chose to let go of “ordinary” and work towards rising into my highest potential. Since then, I’ve been committed to inviting others to do the same with me by sharing the natural, cyclical practices that continue to help me RISE into higher versions of myself.

But first, let’s cover the “professional” stuff, that’s become a soul’s calling, so you know there’s “grit” beneath the more “cosmic” side of me…

Here’s the “professional grit”:

I’m a published author, licensed hypnotherapist, award-winning speaker, (yes, I have trophies), and lifestyle advisor focused on personal transformation. My book, “S.O.U.L. Mama ~ Seeing Only and Unlimited Life,” explores awakening after devastating loss and re-creating life more aligned with the soul. I’ve hosted shows like The Reinvention Channel, Vidette V TV, and The Daily Tune-In and have had the privilege of sitting with & interviewing renowned spiritual teacher Panache Desai. My work bridges spiritual understanding with personal growth, mindset shifts, and practical strategies for living creatively authentic & wholly-balanced..

But that’s who I have been…

Now, it’s time for the next chapter—to develop the dream to create a wellness space where creativity becomes a lifestyle and individuals explore the connection between spirituality, science, and human potential. After earning my master’s in the naturopathic practice of neurographic art, I’ve poured my heart into building The Country Storehouse—a creative, mysterious, and ever-expanding space where we explore higher intelligence, clarity of mind, and the profound impact of creativity on human potential.

The Country Storehouse is more than a space—it’s a community bridging perspectives into natural and sustainable expressions of whole health and wellness. It’s a place to connect, explore, and grow in a light-hearted, communal way.
